DIGITAL PRODUCT USAGE, LICENSING, AND REFUND POLICY

Effective date: September 21, 2026

When you purchase or receive a B Optimal product, you receive a limited, non-transferable, and non-exclusive license to use it under the terms below. Your specific permissions depend on the type of product and how it was purchased.

1. What these terms cover

B Optimal Consulting, LLC creates learning systems and tools for students, educators, learning-support professionals, and educational institutions.

These terms govern:

• Notion-based products sold through the Notion Marketplace for personal use.
• Downloadable educational products sold through Sellfy for use by individual educators and learning-support professionals.
• Subscription products sold through Sellfy.

Separate terms apply to products licensed to departments, programs, or institutions.

You are an authorized user if you purchased or subscribed to the product yourself, or if B Optimal otherwise granted you access. Your purchase confirmation, product description, or separate written agreement may provide additional product-specific terms.

B Optimal products contain copyrighted and trademarked materials owned by B Optimal Consulting, LLC. Purchasing or subscribing to a product gives you permission to use it under the applicable license. It does not transfer ownership of the product or its intellectual property.

B Optimal may terminate your license or restrict access if you materially violate these terms. Termination does not affect your ownership of original work you or your learners created using the product.

2. What you may do

Notion-based products

Notion-based products are licensed for your personal use. You may:

• Personalize the product for your own learning, planning, organization, and notetaking.
• Adapt its workflows to fit your needs.
• Duplicate it within your own Notion workspace for your personal use.
• Continue using it across multiple semesters or years, subject to the purchase terms that apply to the product.

You may not share or distribute the product itself, including its pages, databases, templates, or duplication link.

Downloadable products purchased through Sellfy

Downloadable products purchased through Sellfy are licensed to the individual educator or learning-support professional who purchases them. You may use the materials in educational experiences that you personally facilitate as part of your work for an educational institution or nonprofit organization.

You may:

• Customize examples, discussion prompts, and activity timing.
• Adjust supporting materials while preserving the core framework and required process.
• Create accessible versions and make formatting adjustments.
• Distribute designated learner-facing materials to students or participants in learning experiences you personally facilitate.
• Provide those learner-facing materials in printed or digital form, including through a closed learning management system or another institutionally controlled space.

This permission applies only to your own facilitation. It does not grant a license to your department, program, institution, colleagues, or other facilitators.

Learner-created work

Work that learners create using a B Optimal product belongs to them. Their notes, reflections, plans, responses, and other original content may be kept, used, adapted, and shared by the learner.

3. What you may not do

The license granted through your purchase does not permit uses beyond those expressly described in these terms.

You may not:

• Redistribute a product publicly or make it available outside the permitted learning experience.
• Post facilitator materials, source files, product download links, or Notion duplication links in a public location.
• Share a purchased product with colleagues or allow another person to facilitate from your copy.
• Make the product available for general use by a department, program, institution, or organization without an institutional license.
• Duplicate, sell, sublicense, transfer, or give the product to another person or organization.
• Remove or obscure copyright, trademark, or attribution information.
• Rename the materials, present them as your own creation, or republish them under another name or brand.
• Add an institutional name, logo, or other branding to B Optimal materials.
• Modify the core framework or required process and continue presenting the resulting materials as a B Optimal product.
• Use the product or an adaptation of it for commercial purposes, independent paid instruction, consulting, coaching, or other personal financial gain.
• Use the materials, in whole or in part, as input, training data, or source material for an artificial intelligence or machine learning tool, model, or service.
• Decompile, reverse engineer, or extract the product’s source, structure, or design.
• Use any part of the product to develop, train, or build a competing or derivative product, system, or tool.

All B Optimal program names, copyright notices, trademarks, and attribution must remain visible on adapted materials.

Commercial use falls outside the license granted through an individual purchase. An educator or learning-support professional may use an eligible Sellfy product as part of their regular employment with an educational institution or nonprofit organization. The license does not cover separately compensated instruction, independent consulting, private coaching, or other paid services outside that employment.

4. How long your license lasts

One-time Notion Marketplace purchases

Your individual license for a one-time Notion Marketplace purchase does not expire. You may continue using the copy in your own Notion workspace for your personal use, subject to these terms and the continued availability of the Notion platform.

One-time Sellfy purchases

Your individual educator license for a one-time Sellfy purchase does not expire. You may keep and continue using the version you purchased in learning experiences you personally facilitate, subject to these terms.

A one-time purchase does not automatically include future editions, revisions, or updates unless the product description expressly says otherwise.

Sellfy subscriptions

A Sellfy subscription renews automatically according to the billing interval shown at purchase. Recurring payments continue until you or B Optimal cancels the subscription.

Canceling a Sellfy subscription stops future renewals and immediately ends access to the subscription’s download links. Cancellation does not provide a refund for payments already processed, except where required by law or provided under Section 6.

Unless the product description states otherwise, you may keep and use files you downloaded while your subscription was active under the applicable individual license. You will no longer receive new files, updated versions, or download access through Sellfy after cancellation.

Refunds and license termination

A full refund ends your license to use the refunded product. You must stop using and distributing its materials and delete any copies under your control, except for original work created by you or your learners.

5. Purchases and delivery

Purchases through Sellfy

Sellfy hosts and delivers our downloadable products. After payment is confirmed, Sellfy provides access through its purchase confirmation page and the confirmation email it sends to you.

Payments are processed through the payment method offered at checkout, such as Stripe or PayPal. Those providers process your payment information under their own terms and privacy policies. B Optimal does not receive your complete credit card or debit card information.

If you do not receive your download link or have trouble accessing a purchase, contact support@boptimalconsulting.com. Sellfy may also assist with technical problems involving its delivery or download system.

Purchases through the Notion Marketplace

Notion-based products are sold and delivered through the Notion Marketplace, operated by Notion Labs, Inc. Notion handles the transaction, delivery, and Marketplace refund process.

Payment, delivery, and refunds are governed by the Notion Marketplace policies in effect when you make your purchase. If a problem involves the transaction or delivery, begin with Notion. If it concerns the content of the product, contact us and we will help.

Using a Notion-based product requires a Notion account. Your use of that account is governed by Notion’s terms of service and eligibility requirements. Individual B Optimal products are intended for purchase by adults.

6. Refunds and subscription cancellations

Sellfy purchases

Because downloadable products provide immediate access to digital content, Sellfy purchases are generally final and non-refundable once the product has been accessed or downloaded.

We will review requests involving:

• A duplicate charge.
• A product that was not delivered and cannot be made available.
• A file that is defective and cannot be repaired or replaced.
• A purchase for which a refund is required by applicable law.

Contact support@boptimalconsulting.com with your order information before opening a dispute with a payment provider. We will make a reasonable effort to resolve delivery or product problems.

Approved refunds are issued through the payment processor used for the original purchase. A full refund ends your license and removes access to the product through Sellfy.

Sellfy subscriptions

You may cancel a Sellfy subscription through the purchase details on the Sellfy download page. If you paid through PayPal, you may also be able to manage the subscription through your PayPal account.

Cancellation takes effect immediately. You will no longer be charged, and your Sellfy download links will stop working when the subscription is canceled.

Subscription payments that have already been processed are not refunded or prorated unless required by law or approved by B Optimal because of a duplicate charge, billing error, or unresolved delivery problem.

Notion Marketplace purchases

Notion Marketplace purchases are governed by Notion’s Marketplace refund policy. At the time this policy was published, Notion permitted eligible buyers to request a refund within 14 days of purchase.

Notion processes Marketplace refunds. A completed refund may remove the purchased template, copies of the template, and content added within it from the buyer’s workspace. Review Notion’s current refund policy before requesting a refund.

Nothing in this policy limits refund, cancellation, or consumer-protection rights that cannot legally be waived.

7. Your data

Notion-based products

When you duplicate a Notion-based product into your workspace, the information you add lives in your Notion account. B Optimal cannot view, retrieve, or delete the notes, reflections, plans, or other content you place there.

Notion handles that data under its privacy policy and your agreement with Notion.

Sellfy purchases

When you purchase through Sellfy, Sellfy and the applicable payment processor collect information needed to complete the transaction and deliver the product.

B Optimal receives order and customer information made available to sellers, such as your name, email address, product purchased, payment status, and product-access activity. We use this information to:

• Fulfill and support your purchase.
• Administer licenses and subscriptions.
• Address delivery, refund, and payment questions.
• Prevent fraud and misuse.
• Meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or trade this information.

8. Availability, accessibility, and warranties

Our products are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that a product will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every platform, plan, browser, or device. We do not guarantee any specific academic, professional, or learning outcome.

Notion-based products are delivered through Notion Labs, Inc. Sellfy products are hosted and delivered through Sellfy. The availability, functionality, security, and accessibility of these third-party platforms are outside B Optimal’s control.

WCAG 2.2 Level AA is our design target for the materials we create. That commitment cannot extend to a third-party platform we do not operate.

If you encounter an accessibility barrier in something we created, contact us. We acknowledge accessibility reports within five business days and will explain what we can address.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, B Optimal Consulting, LLC is not liable for loss of data or other damages arising from the use of our products or from the operation of a third-party platform. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies under consumer-protection law that cannot be waived.

9. When an institutional license is required

A Notion-based product purchased through the Notion Marketplace is for the purchaser’s personal use only. It may not be distributed to students, colleagues, employees, or other users.

An individual educator license for an eligible Sellfy product allows the purchaser to use that product in educational experiences they personally facilitate. It does not license the purchaser’s department, program, institution, or organization.

A separate institutional license is required when:

• More than one educator, staff member, or facilitator will use the product.
• A department, program, or institution will make the product available across multiple courses, sections, services, or learning settings.
• Facilitator materials will be shared with colleagues.
• The product will be incorporated into a program-wide or institution-wide initiative.
• An institution wants to adapt, brand, host, or distribute the materials beyond the permissions granted to an individual purchaser.
• The product will be used in commercial instruction, consulting, coaching, or another paid service outside the purchaser’s regular institutional employment.

These terms apply to individual purchases and subscriptions. Updates to this policy do not change the terms that applied to an earlier purchase or an existing institutional agreement unless the parties agree otherwise in writing.
